A fantastic playgroup. Lovely ladies that run it, I’ve made alot of local friends I would have never met other wise. My daughter loves it and has made alot of friends too.

My daughter has been going to Weenies since 2017. She started going when she was 12 months old and went all the way up until she turned 5 and started school. She still goes occasionally during school holidays.

This playgroup has helped her to develop her social skills, play freely, build relationships and most importantly, get her out of the house. I recommend this playgroup over any other playgroup that I have been too!

Weenies is a such a lovely play group, both my babies have been there, now 6 and nearly 5! I have also made some lovely friends through going….I loved going every week and so did my kids, I ended up being a volunteer which I also enjoyed playing a part to help keep the group running.

I have only recently left due to work commitments and my youngest starting school, but I aim to pop in for a cuppa sometime soon!! weenies is like one big family and a great team of volunteers! always welcoming new ones to join it

We’ve been coming to Heanor Weenies since my little girl was 1 and she’s now 2 1/2, all of the volunteers are really welcoming and kind and are always more than happy to help with anything you need.

There’s always something different on every week for the children to do and the seasonal parties that they throw are really looked forward to and enjoyed by everyone, myself and my daughter have made some lovely friends through this group and if anyone is thinking of coming along I would highly recommend it.

I have been going to weenies since my eldest now 9 was 6 weeks old, I joined the committee to help run the group when my now 7 year old was a few weeks old, I have only recently stepped down due to wanting to spend as much time as possible there just playing with my youngest. I have made some of the greatest friends there and so have my kids. Every week is different with lots of different toys and activities, the snacks are more than just your average biscuits, they have lovely parties to celebrate events such as Easter and Christmas. Very inclusive of children who have dietary needs for religious or health reasons, always making sure no child is left out. A lovely group of ladies and the best group for children to play and have fun. Would highly recommend

I take my 1 year old (4 year old when not at pre school) to this group most Wednesday mornings it’s fantastic.

Theres a different choice of toys and activities each week to keep the little ones entertained, theres refreshments available for you to help yourself to, and also a lunch provided for your little one before their final bit of playtime and leaving.

Its excellent value for money, a really friendly place to visit and the staff are very welcoming and do a great job organising and setting this all up.

Love to take my grandkids to Heanor Weenies. Very friendly with lots of activities for them to do. Something different every time you go. Kids really enjoy themselves.

I have been going to Weenies for around 17yrs now, with a break in between. All my children have loved it at the group, the volunteers and friend circles they have made while there. Every week is different and a lunch is provided. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more inclusive group it really is the best playgroup in the area.

I used to take my little Grandaughter, although she was extremely shy when we started, she blossomed and absolutely loved going.

Always different activities, lots of fun. And lunch is provided for the children. Staff and volunteers are so friendly such a lovely group.

Me and my little boy and baby girl came yesterday for the first time, my boy loved it his favourite was playing with the cars. Great value for money with the food you provide and drinks. I’m guttered I’ll be working Wednesdays when I go back to work but my mum will try to bring them 🥰

I used to bring my son in 2018 and now he’s at school I bring my daughter and they both absolutely love it! Always something different to play with as well as brilliant crafts to do with your little ones. For snack time they always have a great variety of food to choose from. The girls who run it are amazing too! Me and my children have made lifelong friends because of this group 🙂 x
